Hard pendulum swings

Published:

Unknowing of the content, I listened to two podcasts back to back with wildly different thoughts on human social interaction in regards to technology and the internet.

The first was The Great Simplification with Nate Hagens episode 33 where Nate interviews Kris De Decker. I found this podcast because I read The Low Tech and No Tech magazines and Kris mentioned his interview there.

This episode goes into great depths about how society and the economy is suffering from over use of technology making other things.

The second podcast was The Digital Human episode “Bona Fide”. I’m a regular listener of this program, which started as a fascination with technology and the ways we use them and has slowly become a wariness of our over use of it.

This episode is about one persons disbelief that anyone can not have an online footprint.

The two episode could not be more different in there acceptance in the amount that technology and the internet should pervade our society. They are just polar opposites when it comes to how much of these two ideas should be integral to our existence as humans.
